Truffle strives to be a good actor in data policy. Our intention is to provide you a valuable paid service, and we do not intend to profit in any way by sharing your data. We do not share your data with third parties for any reason whatsoever.

Data Collected

We collect the following information from users: name, 1099 income stream, estimated revenue, enrolled financial institutions, and how the user found Truffle. We collect this information to personalize Truffle to you, the end user. None of this information is shared with any party.

After your consent, we download your spending history in order to provide an aggregation of your potential business deductions for tax purposes. We do not share this transaction history with any third party.

We may access the collected data to improve our service and personalize it for you, the end user.

Data Deletion

Upon account deletion, we will remove stored information per your request at no cost or barrier within 7 days. Some data may remain in our automated backups for 1 year. However, these backups are not readily accessible.

Data Security

All traffic through Truffle flows through SSL, an encrypted layer.

All data is encrypted using bank-grade security with NIST-approved encryption algorithms (AES-256).

Our servers are hosted by Heroku, a Salesforce company. They manage our hardware-level security.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Truffle may amend or change this Policy at its sole discretion at any time. If we make any material changes we will notify you by email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on this Site prior to the change becoming effective. You should periodically check the Privacy Policy to make sure you understand the current policy.

Conditions of Use

Your use of the Truffle website and other services is subject to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes, and application of California state law.
